OpenAMPERe
OpenAMPERe
OpenAMPERe is an extensible research and training tool capable of generating or replaying telemetry data in electric power grid ICS HIL environments with an open-source front-end currently being developed by the Information Trust Institute.
The OpenAMPERe Power Box is a compact (6U), low-voltage, low-power substation emulator that can generate three-phase telemetry, breaker control, and status, along with programmable binary inputs and outputs with different modes of operation.
Control Modes
Manual
User-defined, unbalanced
Three-phase voltage and current telemetry along with breaker control and status outputs for four-relay connections.
Externally Controlled
Time-varying, unbalanced
Three-phase voltage and current telemetry along with breaker controls and status.
Simulator Controlled
Power system simulator controlled, time varying, time synchronized, unbalanced
Three-phase voltage and current telemetry along with breaker controls and status.
Distributed Controlled
Self-standing distributed state estimation (DSE)-based, time varying, time synchronized, unbalanced
Three-phase voltage and current telemetry along with breaker controls and status.
