Student Researcher
Oregon State University
Shashini A. De Silva is a graduate student in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Oregon State University. She received her B.Sc. with honors in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2015. Her passion for learning and engaging in research are the motivational factors guiding her towards the doctoral degree. Her research interests center on statistical signal processing and machine learning to optimize power system operations.
She is currently working with CREDC Research Team on attack resilient data analytics for power grid operations, where she collaborates to develop proper analytics to secure AI and ML algorithms, which operates in the network. Apart from this, she is also working on developing computationally efficient recovery algorithms to solve compressive sensing problems that inherits structured sparsity.
