Associate Professor, Industrial & Enterprise Systems Engineering
Ph.D., Electrical and Computer Engineering, Carnegie Mellon, 1990
B.Tech Electrical Engr. Indian Inst. of Tech. 1985

Professor Sreenivas's research interests lie in the area of modeling, analysis, control, and performance evaluation of discrete-state/discrete-event systems. Other interests include the use of machine learning, approximate algorithms and online algorithms for the synthesis of near-optimal policies for various problems involving discrete-state/discrete-event systems. Some of the trust-oriented projects that he is involved with include:

  • Diagnosis and Assessment of Faults, Misbehavior and Threats in Distributed Systems and Networks
  • A Normative Theory for the Design of Discrete Event Dynamic Systems for Supervisory Control
  • Applying the Theory of Supervisory Control of Discrete Event Dynamic Systems to the Analysis & Synthesis of Security, Fair-Exchange and Fair-Contract-Signing Protocols
